In my story, The Shadow King, a young & serious biologist has set aside her better judgment to help her mad scientist father track legendary monsters. As the story begins, Cara Reid is staking out an Irish lake waiting for a dinosaur to appear. But her day goes from bad to worse when she meets the ghost of King Eadwig (Edwy), who insists she is his long-lost queen, then sets about a mad quest to regain the English Crown. Unfortunately, Edwy only has 10 days before All Hallow's Eve to unseat Queen Elizabeth & seize power. If he fails, he is doomed to remain a shadow king forever.
