Four exciting, romantic, sexy, fun novellas celebrating Christmas in 4 unique ways! From Emma Craig, "Jack of Hearts," from Annie Kimerlin, "The Shepherds and Mr Weisman," and from Kathleen Nance, "The Yuletide Spirit." |

In my story, "The Twelfth Knight," 'two honorable thieves, one a spritely young woman, the other a dashing and just knight, have only the twelve days of Christmas to traverse medieval England and find a secret treasure... which just may be buried in each other's arms.' |

This story was really fun - the hero & heroine are competing for a treasure, & spend most of their time trying to one-up each other for control - which soon becomes more for passion's sake than for the treasure they're hunting. In the meanwhile, their lumbering servant Alfred is bounced back and forth between them - maintaining a peculiar & too-knowing silence with plans of his own... I love a heroine who has a purpose of her own & who isn't there to be saved by the hero, but is just as ready to save him back. Dera (which means 'fiend' in Welsh, by the way) is a very lively little person, too pleased with herself & sure of her abilities. Wulf, oddly named Beowulf because I felt like it, is a man running from the dark secrets of his past, and one tiny black-haired Welsh thief is the only person standing in the way of his redemption. But even when Wulf connives to gain her as a servant, and her giant, too, he finds himself more & more besotted. |
