Our many hours spent on World of Warcraft have, occasionally, been captured by screenshots. I, in particular, have recorded my characters. I seem to have a preference for my Gnome warrior and two Blood Elf boys, or maybe they just photograph well. We belong to different guilds on different servers. Our Alliance Guild is called The Twilight Blades, and our 3 raiding main characters are now in Rise of the Phoenix. Our Horde Guild (on another server, lest we end up facing each other in a battleground) is called Eternal Night. The 'Official' Twilight Blades website.
Garrett started playing WoW first, and the rest of us followed like dominoes. His first and main character is a human warrior named Zaron. He now has a Blood Elf paladin of the same name. |
Garrett:

The Mighty Z in Shattrah, and his Horde counterpart, the somewhat more Flamboyant Z

Natassja has a Night Elf hunter & 2 priests, one Alliance, one Horde, as well as a gnome warlock:

How Tash sees herself. How we see Tash.
Horde:
Daere, Blood Elf Shadow Priest

Fia has a human mage & dwarf paladin, & several blood elves

Aponi, Dwarf Paladin with Bunny Pet

Fia with her best friend's hunter...

This was my first character, a Night Elf Hunter, Nidawi, (and my first flying mount):

In Nagrand, and below, in Quel Danas

| I then leveled 2 characters together, a mage girl & a paladin man. I made him because it was funny to play a male, and because I thought I'd hate playing the paladin class. Instead, I loved it, & ended up with 2 (both males, named after heroes in my books.) The human (Alliance) paladin is Cheveyo (my lion has the same name) - about whom my children make endless mirth, though I think he's rather noble. I don't have the pictures of his time with the pink heart belt - though I think Sofia saved them... Paladins take a LONG time to kill anything, but nothing kills them. Mages are the opposite. |

Me and my extremely manly man...
...as he grows ever more heroic... and silly:

Then... I made a gnome. She is now my favorite Alliance character. Here is why:

Gnomes are small.

Ellyllon at the start of her career

In progress

In Tanaris, at night (Lila said she looks like a pumpkin... while I was tanking!) Ellyllon is a Protection warrior (sometimes arms)

Ellyllon with her first mount, though she really wanted the Draenei's mount, an Elekk - which she now owns!
Here, she is escorting a lost turtle back to his, theoretically, devoted mate - he's NOT chasing me!

(spot the gnome...)

... they are very, very small

On the elf ship.

Ellyllon in her Diver's Outfit, in Theramore. I refused to remove it when the quest ended... (she's an engineer, so I can now make my own helm)

During Brewfest in October, she had her picture taken with three hunks - the first was somewhat disturbing.
One Gnome is not enough:
New Alliance:
Saqui, Draenei Shaman
The Night Elf was my prettiest character... until the Blood Elves came along...

Blood elves pose magnificently. Here he is in Silvermon, to highlight his supreme blondness:

Paladins are turtles (pet from Children's Week event)

On his horse in Winterspring (one of my favorite places)

On favorite quests, in Nagrand, Un'Goro, & on a dragon

Antinanco, Combat Swords Rogue
While Aren looks pretty much like my Aren in Prince of Ice, Antinanco fits the book-Cheveyo a little better than my human paladin.
However, the book Cheveyo would undoubtedly be a shadow priest, since what he really was, before Turning Evil, was a healer.

Why women play male Blood Elves...

With the Tauren Chieftain, Cairne Bloodhoof, and on escort quest north of Rachet

On his ridiculous chocobo mount, (with Wolpertinger pet - a fanged, winged rabbit) - in Thunder Bluff, my favorite main city.

Hakon, Blood Elf Hunter, with his white lion, (Felix) in Booty Bay at night.
It's kind of creepy, but this particular character has been hit on by women (presumably) more than any other.

New Horde
I've made several other Horde races at various times, mostly Tauren, & for awhile, an Undead Priest (who looked like Angelina Jolie, pretty face)
None really stuck with me (hard to be a cow in a bra) but I keep trying different Tauren - a shaman, warrior, & now a Druid.

Friends & Family in WoW:
Gordon began playing, & made 3 characters, a druid, a gnome mage, & a Draenei shaman:

A family group in Scarlet Monastery - myself on Tumbles, Garrett on Hayne, Tasha's priest, Fia's mage (in icy aura), and Gordon's Druid in Bear Form, seated.

Then Lila started playing, (intrigued by the Southpark episode, btw) - and her husband, Mark... and her daughter, Jessie:

Garrett's Minzar, with my warrior, & Lila on her mount (like me, she has many characters)
Jessie has several, too:
And Mark:
Below, Lila's Priest & Mark's rogue in an Action Sequence:

It's quiet here..."

Too, too quiet..."

. . . ! ! !

My man poses with Lila's priest (he was the photographer.) In an act of utter betrayal, Lila also mocked my man's intelligence...

Lila's warlock, Liliquois, & mine, Pillywiggins. Very feminine!

Lance has two hunters, one Alliance, one Horde:

Mage, Tash's hunter, & Zaron at the end boss of The Steamvault

At the entrance to Stormwind.

|
I once read a topic on the Warcraft General Forums about an Undead player who created an Alliance character to spy on the Other Side. One of his finest observations was that Alliance players have a weird tendency to climb on things, including fountains, (especially the Stormwind Fountain), fences, & walls - as well as any pillar or candlestick they can find. This is true. It has also carried over to my blood elves... |

Ellyllon on candlestick in Battleground queue.

Ellyllon on boat thing

Ellyllon on TOP of the Stormwind fountain

Cerridwyn, my mage, on one of the Auction House's climbable walls, & on the fountain

Gnomes on Fountain

Antinanco on the Undercity mailbox (betraying the fact his Spirit Guide - me - is Alliance-minded)

Tumbles, my rogue, on the Stormwind Fountain - she stayed there for days

Antinanco on the fence in Hillsbrad

Aren on the candlestick in Shadowfang Keep

Tumbles sleeps... on top of the SW fountain
